Nokia E6-00 on it's way?

Nokia could be debuting a new business-focused smartphone called the E6 at next month’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, according to leaked specs for the smartphone and the rumours which followed.

The E6-00 appeared in a leaked document acquired by My Nokia Blog, which shows that it will sport a display with a resolution of 640×480, a leap in the right direction when compared to former E-Series handsets.

This resolution is also a suggestion that the E6 range will have the Symbian 3 operating system onboard, which is no surprise considering its place as Nokia’s most modern platform.

Extra information on the E6 specs suggests that it will have an eight megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and a processor based on ARM technology.

At the moment there is no official word from Nokia on the E6 and no clue as to what it will actually look like. It could be another BlackBerry rival, although it is likely that it will feature a touchscreen display as well as physical buttons if this is the case.

Nokia is likely to integrate a full QWERTY keypad into the final E6, as this will appeal to enterprise users, but whether this will be in a fixed position or housed beneath the screen via a slider mechanism, is unknown.
