The Motorola Atrix has been unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and UK network provider Orange has already committed to stocking the high end handset when it arrives later in 2011.
The Motorola Atrix sports some impressive specs, using a dual-core processor that will allow it to compete with the likes of the LG Optimus 2X.
Motorola has said that the Atrix will have a 4.3 inch display that will use qHD pentile technology in what will be an industry first. This jargon essentially indicates that it will be easier to read under bright sunlight, thanks to 24 bit colour reproduction and presumably a high resolution to boot.
Along with the big screen and powerful processor, the Motorola Atrix will have an eight megapixel camera on the rear with HD video capture also likely. 48GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM will allow it to store tons of media, apps and games.
It could be a few months until the Motorola Atrix hits the UK but it is good to see that Orange is sure of its eventual arrival, so those who want to get in on the dual-core action will not have long to wait.
